Most professional indemnity quotes land within 24–48 hours of a complete submission. Single-project and distressed risks may take longer; we will tell you honestly up front what is realistic.

Do you work with difficult or declined risks?

Yes. If you have been declined, had a claims issue, or are transferring from an insurer withdrawing from your sector — start the conversation with us. We have appetite with specialist underwriters that other brokers do not always approach.

Are the Risk Profiler figures accurate?

Accepted Answer

The Profiler is an indicative model only. It uses sector benchmarks to give you a ballpark, but a real quote depends on wordings, claims experience, and underwriter appetite on the day. Consider it a conversation starter.

Who regulates you, and what protection does that give me?

Apex Insurance Brokers Limited is authorised and regulated by the Financial Conduct Authority for general insurance distribution. Our FCA Firm Reference Number is 724952 — verifiable on the FCA Financial Services Register at register.fca.org.uk. As a UK SME or private client, you have recourse to the Financial Ombudsman Service if you are not satisfied with how we resolve a complaint, and your placement may be covered by the Financial Services Compensation Scheme in the event of insurer failure. We operate under the FCA Consumer Duty.

How are you paid — and does that bias your advice?

Apex is paid either by commission from the insurer, or by a transparent fee agreed with you, or occasionally both — this is disclosed in writing before you bind cover. We conduct an annual Fair Value assessment under Consumer Duty PROD 4 to ensure the price you pay is reasonable relative to the benefits you receive.

How do I make a complaint?
