Apex publishes long-form pillar guides for each of the professional sectors we serve. Each pillar sets out the regulator’s minimum terms, the wordings insurers use, the exposures that drive premium and the practical mechanics of placement and renewal. Use this page as an index.

Start with your regulator. If you are an SRA-regulated firm, the solicitors pillar sets out what the SRA Minimum Terms and Conditions require. If you are ARB-registered, the architects pillar covers the ARB Code and the RIBA Chartered Practice requirements. Read the sections on run-off cover and aggregation before you compare quotes — those two pieces of wording move more premium and cause more disputes than headline limits do.
Each pillar links out to related material: profession-specific claim scenarios, sector wiki entries, insurer wording comparisons and premium drivers. Where a pillar references another, follow the link — the material is written to be read across as well as down.
